With two of his films making waves, the recently released 'The Royals' and the much-anticipated 'Homebound' premiering at the festival, the 29-year-old actor proved he's not just having a moment; he is the moment. And his first red carpet appearance at Cannes was every bit of it.

Ditching the expected tux, Ishaan chose to walk the Cannes red carpet in a majestic bordeaux velvet bandhgala by none other than ace Indian designer Gaurav Gupta.

The deep wine-toned velvet jacket was sharply cut in Gupta's signature East-meets-West silhouette, reimagining the classic Indian bandhgala with a bold contemporary twist. It featured intricate black zardozi celtic knot embroidery around the collar and cuffs, making it a runway-worthy couture piece.

In the designer’s own words, “The silhouette reinterprets the classic Indian high-collared jacket with Black Zardozi Celtic Knot Embroidery: a symbol of timeless connection and inner strength, reimagined through the lens of Indian craftsmanship.”

Ishaan paired the regal jacket with a tailored wrap silk shirt and wide-legged velvet trousers, which complemented the look perfectly without overpowering it.

Stylist Alexander Roth completed the look with a pair of glossy black patent leather shoes, a sleek silver ring, and a silver rectangular watch. On the grooming front, Ishaan’s look was polished but effortless with gel-sculpted curls and a neatly trimmed beard that gave him modern-day Maharaja vibes.
