Susner (Madhya Pradesh): The growing presence of stray cattle on roads in Susner has become a major concern for pedestrians and motorists, particularly during the evening hours.

Large numbers of cattle can be seen sitting or roaming in the middle of busy roads and major routes, disrupting traffic and increasing the risk of accidents.

According to locals, markets and main roads witness increased movement in the evening, making it difficult for pedestrians and two- and four-wheeler drivers to navigate through the cattle.

Motorists often have to suddenly slow down or change direction to avoid animals to avoid an accident.

Residents pointed out that during the recent visit of the minister in charge, the municipal council had deployed employees to remove cattle from the roads.

While the roads remained clear during the programme, the problem reportedly returned soon after it concluded.

Citizens have demanded a permanent solution, including regular monitoring and campaigns to remove stray cattle from busy roads and shift them safely to cattle shelters.

Susner municipal council CMO Hariom Sharma said employees had been assigned to remove cattle from the roads. He added that if cattle were still gathering on the streets, the matter would be examined and necessary action taken.
