Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 40-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a recklessly driven loading rickshaw in Hira Nagar area, police said on Wednesday.
According to the police, the incident took place near Bapat Square on Tuesday afternoon. Santosh Sahu, a resident of New Gauri Nagar area was an auto rickshaw driver.
After parking his auto, Santosh was crossing the road when a loading vehicle hit him, injuring him critically. The people of the area after informing the police rushed him to hospital but could not be saved. The police have registered a case against the errant driver of the loading vehicle and began a search for him.
17-year-old girl dies during treatment
A 17-year-old girl, who was hit by an i-Bus, died during treatment on Monday. She was hit by the vehicle on July 9 in Bhanwarkuan area. Police station in-charge Rajkumar Yadav said that the deceased has been identified as Pooja, a resident of Khandwa.
She was staying here with her relative. She was crossing the road near Navlakha Square when the bus hit her, injuring her critically. Since then, she had been undergoing treatment in a city hospital.
