Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Announces Atal Preraks For 11,500 Gram Panchayats
Almost similar schemes were launched by the previous Gehlot government in the names of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Rajiv Gandhi.

Jaipur: Replacing previous Congress government's scheme, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma has announced to appoint Atal Preraks in 11500 gram panchayats of the state. Along with this, Atal Knowledge Centers will be opened in every Gram Panchayat.
Making the announcement on100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said 'Atal Preraks will be appointed at every Atal Knowledge Centre. These Preraks will help needy families to avail the benefits of government schemes, along with these libraries and libraries will be created at these centers to facilitate the youth to prepare for competitive examinations. Training and counseling facilities will also be available at these centers.'
The government to spend Rs 500 crore on the scheme. Almost similar schemes were launched by the previous Gehlot government in the names of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi and former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
The Gehlot government had announced Mahatma Gandhi Seva Prerak scheme to appoint 50 thousand Preraks and five thousand Rajive Gandhi Yuva Mitras.
The Seva Preraks were to be appointed at the Mahatma Gandhi libraries in the villages to run them and to spread the message of peace and non-violence, while the 5 thousand Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitras were tasked to help the people to avail the government schemes.
Exactly a year ago, the Bhajanlal government had canceled the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Prerak recruitment and terminate the services of 5 thousand Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitras alleging that these schemes were launched to adjust Congress workers. The terminated Yuva Mitras have been protesting against the government for the last one year.
