On Camera: Man Gropes Woman On Way Home from Work In Meerut, Held

Meerut Police have arrested a man for allegedly molesting a woman while she was returning from work. The incident reportedly took place in the TP Nagar area when the woman was heading home from her office. The episode was captured on CCTV, and the video has since surfaced on social media.

The footage shows the woman walking along a lane carrying a bag, while a man follows her from a distance. Seeing no one around, he suddenly runs towards her from behind and grabs her.

Shocked by the sudden assault, the woman falls to the ground and screams for help. The accused flees the scene after she raises an alarm. The woman is also seen chasing the suspect for a few metres.

Reacting to the incident, Meerut Police, in a post on X, confirmed the arrest of the accused.

“Taking immediate cognisance of the matter, a case has been registered at TP Nagar police station under relevant sections. A team has been formed to ensure the arrest of the accused. Further legal action is being carried out,” the police said.
