Kolkata: CBI Files Charge Sheet Against Former RG Kar Principal Sandip Ghosh And Four Others Over Financial Irregularities
“This case was registered in compliance with the directions of Calcutta High Court relating to financial irregularities in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital at Kolkata. Further Investigation is continuing in this case,” read the statement.

Kolkata: The CBI on Friday had filed the Charge sheet against former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh and four others comprising Ashish Kumar Pandey, the then House Staff of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Biplab Singha, Proprietor of Maa Tara Traders, Suman Hazra, Proprietor of Hazra Medical and Afsar Ali Khan, Additional Security and Key person of Eshan Cafe.
According to the press statement issued by the CBI, sections 409, 420, 468, 471 of IPC and Sections 7, 13(2) r/w 13(1)(a) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 [as amended by the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018] against the accused persons.
“This case was registered in compliance with the directions of Calcutta High Court relating to financial irregularities in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital at Kolkata. Further Investigation is continuing in this case,” read the statement.

It can be recalled that Sandip Ghosh was arrested by the central agencies due to financial irregularities that took place in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Later, the central agency had also arrested Ghosh over the rape and murder incident of a junior medic that took place on August 9 while the junior medic was on duty.
In the recent past, the parents of the victim had visited the state Assembly to meet Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and Indian Secular Front (ISF) MLA Nausad Siddiqui and urged everyone to continue with their protests till they meet ‘Justice’ for the deceased daughter.
