Sonipat (Haryana), February 15: In a shocking incident, two students were found dead under suspicious circumstances at Ashoka University which is located in Rai, Sonipat. The dead bodies of the students were found late on Friday (February 14) night on Valentine's Day.

As per reports, one student fell from the 10th floor of the university building, while the other was found dead near the university gate. Their sudden deaths have come as a shock for everyone. The university management informed the police and the students' families after which the police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the suspicious deaths of the students.

Details About The Incident

According to reports, Dhruv Jyoti Sahu (20) was a first-year undergraduate student from Telangana. He was living in the university hostel. He was found dead after falling from the 10th floor of the university building. Police suspect that he may have taken his own life, but they will confirm this after speaking to his family.

Another student, Vignesh Guda Sahu (19), was a second-year undergraduate student from Bengaluru. His body was found near the university gate at around 2:30 AM on Saturday.

Police Investigation Underway

The cause of death for both students is still unknown. The police are collecting information and trying to understand what happened. The real reasons behind their deaths will be clear after the postmortem reports. The police said that they will legal actions if anyone is found responsible for the deaths of these students. They will take action once the investigation is over.

It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of the sad demise of two of our students in tragic, unrelated incidents on February 14.

A suicide note was recovered from a student’s room, and he was found unconscious shortly after. A few hours later, a second student was reported to have experienced loss of consciousness, outside the campus. They were rushed in our ambulance to the nearest hospital where they were declared dead.

The departed students were integral members of the Ashoka community and will be deeply missed by all. Our hearts go out to the bereaved family members, and we are providing all the support required in their hour of grief.

The University is also cooperating fully with local authorities for the requisite investigations.
