Fly Big Airlines Increases Inter-City Flights Across Chhattisgarh

Bilaspur: In a move to promote air travel in Chhattisgarh, Fly Big Airlines has expanded its air service between Raipur, Bilaspur, and Ambikapur. Initially operating three days a week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), the service will now run six days a week, from Monday to Saturday.

As per the new flight schedule, Raipur to Ambikapur: Departs at 9:00 AM, arrives at 10:15 AM, Ambikapur to Bilaspur: Departs at 10:40 AM, arrives at 11:35 AM, Bilaspur to Ambikapur: Departs at 12:00 PM, arrives at 12:55 PM and Ambikapur to Raipur: Departs at 1:20 PM, arrives at 2:30 PM.

The first flight under the new schedule landed at Bilaspur Airport on Monday, but both legs of the Ambikapur-Bilaspur route flew without passengers due to insufficient publicity about the schedule expansion.

The Air Suvidha Jan Sangharsh Samiti welcomed the increased frequency but raised the following suggestions, extending the Ambikapur flight further to Banaras, making it a round trip via Ambikapur to Raipur by evening.

Station aircraft at Bilaspur Airport instead of Raipur Airport to enable more flights from Bilaspur. The committee has also urged passengers to book tickets and utilize the service to ensure its sustainability.
