Delhi Crime: Man Stabbed To Death, Brother & Friend Injured After Argument Over Shared Toilet In Govindpuri; 5 Held Including Minor

Delhi: A violent altercation over a shared toilet in Govindpuri, South East Delhi, escalated into tragedy when a man was murdered and his brother and friend were injured in a stabbing incident. The accused and the victims, all tenants of the same building, shared a common toilet, which became the source of the dispute.
Details On The Violent Argument
The argument reportedly began when a minor from the accused family used the toilet and failed to flush it, leading to a heated exchange. The situation quickly turned violent, with Sudheer, his brother Prem (22) and their friend Sagar (20) suffering injuries, as reported by the Times of India.
The police received a PCR call about the quarrel at 12:07 am and rushed the injured to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. Around 3 am, Sudheer succumbed to stab wounds inflicted on his chest, face and scalp, believed to have been caused by a kitchen knife. Prem was declared unfit to provide a statement, while Sagar was discharged after treatment.
Five Detained In The Matter
The accused family Bhikam Singh, his wife Meena and their three sons, Sanjay (20), Rahul (18), and a minor were detained by the police. Bhikam works at a building materials shop in Govindpuri. Neighbours reported that the accused family had only recently moved into the building. A tenant described the chaotic scene while speaking to TOI, stating, “Blood was everywhere on their bodies. I alerted the victims’ family members, and they were taken to the hospital.”
The police crime team collected evidence from the scene, and a murder case was registered at the Govindpuri police station. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact sequence of events and the roles of the detained individuals.
