Caught On Camera: 3 Friends Jump Into A Canal; 2 Die Due To Strong Current In Kanpur | X/@bstvlive
Bijnor: A tragic incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor. Two days ago three friends jumped into a canal together to take a bath, one of them rapidly reached the shore of the canal. However, the other two swam close to the strong current and reached the main stream. Their move proved to be fatal and despite massive attempts the other two youths got stuck in the strong current.
They tried to swim back but failed to save themselves and died by drowning. The deceased has been identified as Adil and Zeeshan.
A video of the incident has surfaced and is making rounds on the internet. The incident is of Jhalhu canal of Haldaur area. In the video, the two young men can be seen fighting for their lives. In the video another man can be seen standing at the side of the canal when the other two friends jumped inside.
In the video it can be seen, the two youths make desperate attempts to save themselves but the strong current pulls them in again.
Police Action
Reacting to the viral video, Bijnor police's official X handle responded,"Halduar police station in-charge was instructed to take necessary action."
Reportedly, locals have raised the demand for increasing security arrangements at the canal.
