VIDEO: Atishi Takes Oath As Delhi CM In Presence Of Arvind Kejriwal, Parents At Raj Niwas; Check Portfolio Allocation

Delhi, September 21: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Saturday (September 21) took oath as the chief minister of Delhi. Atishi's parents were also present during her oath-taking ceremony. Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal was also present in the Raj Niwas during the oath-taking.

Atishi has become the third woman to occupy the CM's post in Delhi. She is also the youngest among the three to become Chief Minister.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai and Kailash Gahlot also took oath as ministers and retained their posts in the new government.

Besides, Imran Hussain also took oath as a minister. The new face in the cabinet is Sultanpur Majra legislator Mukesh Ahlawat.

Atishi Thanks Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi CM Atishi took to X (formerly Twitter and thanked Arvind Kejriwal for giving her the "responsiblity." She also called Kejriwal the "most popular Chief Minister."

"Thanks to the son of Delhiites and the most popular Chief Minister @ArvindKejriwal ji who has given me the responsibility to serve 2 crore Delhiites. Arvind Kejriwal understood the struggle of the common man and changed the face of Delhi in the last 10 years with excellent education and health facilities, free electricity and many other facilities."

"Arvind Kejriwal is not the Chief Minister of Delhi today, this is a very emotional moment for us. But we have only one objective in the upcoming elections - to make Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister of Delhi again. Also, in these 4 months, under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal, all the work of Delhiites will be done which was stopped by BJP through its conspiracies. Arvind Kejriwal is now out of jail and will not let any conspiracy of BJP succeed," Atishi posted on X.

Delhi Govt Portfolio Allocation

CM Atishi will head the 13 existing departments (that she had, earlier) including Education, Finance, Power, Water.

Saurabh Bharadwaj will take charge of eight departments including Health, Urban Development and Social Welfare.

Gopal Rai will have three departments including Environment.

Kailash Gehlot to take charge of four departments including Transport, WCD.

Imran Hussain will head the Food Supply and Election Department.

Mukesh Ahlawat will become Delhi's SC/ST Minister, along with four more departments including Labour.
