Haryana CM Flying Squad Busts Gambling Racket In Karnal | ANI
Karnal: In a major crackdown on illegal gambling, the Haryana Chief Minister’s Flying Squad carried out a large-scale raid on a suspected gambling hub in Gharaunda, Karnal. The operation, which took place following a tip-off, led to the arrest of 55 gamblers, ANI reported. The police team also recovered cash amounting to ₹12 lakh. In addition to the cash, the team seized 46 mobile phones and several vehicles.
“Haryana CM Flying got the information that a man named Rinku is running a gambling racket for the last one month…We raided the location, and we caught 55 gamblers. We recovered Rs 12 lakh cash and several vehicles from the spot. The owner of the place said that this racket has been ongoing for one month…Further action will be taken in this matter,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar said informing about the successful raid.
Officials have indicated that further probe is underway to analyse the extent of the racket’s network.
