Urfi Javed recalls growing up with abusive father: 'I attempted suicide couple of times'

'Bigg Boss OTT' fame Urfi Javed has recently opened up on having an abusive childhood and also revealed that she had tried to end her life a couple of times.
Urfi recently shot with a renowned magazine and during the interview, she shared that she comes from a very conservative family.
She also said that she developed a liking towards fashion from all the television shows that she watched and that she has always wanted to look different.
Urfi Javed's traumatic childhood
Urfi shared that she is the second out of five children, and that growing up, her father used to beat her mother and the kids a lot. "I barely left the house. My father would not allow it. I also attempted suicide a couple of times," she said.
She went on to say that her strict and conservative family could not stop her from dreaming big. Stating that she learnt all about fashion from television, she said that she always knew what she wanted to wear and how.
"I wanted to look different. I wanted to look the best. Like when I go to a party, everyone turns to look at me," she said.
She also said that her family never had money while she was growing up and hence, she has been always stressed about her finances.
