Rupali Ganguly's Stepdaughter Esha Verma Calls Anupamaa Actress 'Evil Step Lady' In New Post, Deletes Later
In a fresh attack, actress Rupali Ganguly's stepdaughter Esha Verma called the Anupamaa fame 'evil step lady' in her recent Instagram post. "Ty to the evil step lady for scheduling the next court date on my bday (sic)," she wrote on Instagram, but deleted the note soon after. Rupali has slapped Esha with a Rs 50 crore defamation case.

Looks like the animosity between actress Rupali Ganguly and her stepdaughter Esha Verma has not mellowed down yet, and as the two are now embroiled in a legal battle, the latter called the Anupamaa fame 'evil step lady' in her new post.
For those unversed, Rupali had slapped Esha with a Rs 50 crore defamation notice in November 2024, stating that the latter's statements had damaged her reputation and affected her career. Post the defamation notice, Esha announced on social media that she would not address the fiasco with Rupali anymore as she has decided to move on with her life.
But looks like that's clearly not the case as Esha recently took to her Instagram stories to pen a note which read, "Ty to the evil step lady for scheduling the next court date on my bday muah (sic)."
However, she deleted the note soon after and when the screenshot was shared by an online portal, she clarified her stance by commenting, "I use my socials to connect with my friends and share my thoughts—it’s always been a personal space for me. I was just typing out my feelings before bed and had meant to send it to a close friend, but it accidentally went to my story. I wasn’t trying to start anything or make this public — it was just me processing my emotions in the moment (sic)."
"Seeing my court date fall on my birthday has been overwhelming, and I was simply expressing my frustration. It’s exhausting to be constantly monitored, and frustrating to see casual posts turned into headlines," she added.
For the unawares, in November last year, Esha had accused Rupali of breaking her father Ashwin Verma's marriage with her mother, and she had also accused the Anupamaa actress of stealing her mother's jewellery.
Not just that, but Esha also called Rupali names and claimed that the actress had threatened her multiple times.

Following her statements, Rupali shot a Rs 50 crore defamation notice to Esha, claiming that "actions have "damaged her (Rupali's) reputation, violated her dignity, and adversely impacted her career, resulting in substantial financial losses".
Esha then deleted all posts related to Rupali and Ashwin, and announced her decision to step back from the episode.
