Ponniyin Selvan singer Rakshita Suresh survives major car accident in Malaysia

On Sunday morning, young singer Rakshita Suresh of 'Ponniyin Selvan' had a near brush with tragedy as she survived a major car accident. The singer was heading on her way to the airport, when her car hit the divider.

While the passengers including the driver, another co-passenger who sat in the front, next to him and Rakshita are safe, they've met with minor injuries.

Sharing an update about her health on social media, Rakshita wrote, “Met with a major accident today. The car that I was in rammed into a divider, and smashed to the side of the road while I was heading back to the airport in Malaysia this morning. My entire life flashed infront of me during those 10 seconds of impact. Thanks to the airbags, otherwise things would've been worse. Still shaking from whatever happened, but I'm so glad that me, the driver and the other co-passenger who was sitting in the front seat are safe with just minor external injuries and a few internal injuries. Grateful and lucky to be alive."

The singer was met with hopeful reactions from well-wishers in the industry.

Singer Jonita Gandhi wrote expressing concern, "Oh my goodness! Take care thangachiii!!!"

Telugu film singer Geetha Madhuri added "Thank god!!!! Wishing you speedy recovery."

Sireesha Bhagavatula of 'Ghodey Pe Sawaar' fame wrote, "OMG. Please take care. Thank God"

WHO IS RAKSHITA SURESH?

Former winner of Rhythm Tadheem, which was aired on ETV Kannada and Little Star Singer, which was aired on Asianet Suvarna, Rakshita was also the first runner up in the reality show of Super Singer 6 aired on Star Vijay.
