'It Is Definitely Happening': Ranbir Kapoor Shares MAJOR Update On Brahmastra 2, Reveals When The Pre-Production Will Start (Watch)

Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, which was released in 2022, received a fantastic response at the box office. The movie ended with an announcement of a sequel titled Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev. However, there have been no update on it. Recently, while interacting with the media at Alia's birthday party, Ranbir opened up about Brahmastra 2 and gave a major update.

Ranbir stated, "Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time; the entire story of Brahmastra. As you guys know he is currently working on War 2. Once the film releases he is going to start the pre-production of Brahmastra 2."

"It is definitely happening. We haven't really announced much of it, but we will have interesting announcements coming regarding Brahmastra 2," he added.

Ranbir also spoke about Love & War and teaming up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again after his debut Saawariya. He said, "I had worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali 17 years ago. To work with him again, I can say this with so much of clarity that I haven't met a human being who works so hard, who understands characters, emotions, music, Indian culture, Indian value system, as much as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. To be on his set is tiring, long; the process can be a little daunting, but eventually as artist it is so satisfying as he really nurtures art. So, as actors it has been amazing so far."

Love & War, which also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, is slated to hit the big screens in March 2026. Apart from Love & War and Brahmastra 2, Ranbir has Ramayana and Animal 2 lined up.

Meanwhile, Alia will next be seen in Alpha which is slated to release during Christmas this year.
