Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 2 Prediction: Will Akshay Kumar Starrer Show A Huge Jump On Eid?

Housefull 5 starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nargis Fakhri was released on Friday. The film took a bumper opening of Rs. 24 crore which is fantastic. However, it now needs to show growth over the weekend to have a good first weekend. Today (June 7, 2025), it is a holiday due to Bakra Eid, so it is expected that the movie will show a jump at the box office. But the reviews and the word of mouth are not good, so it won’t be surprising that there might be a slight drop in collection, or it can collect around the same amount that it collected on its first day.

Looking at the current trend, it looks like the movie might collect around Rs. 23-25 crore on its second day, which is not a bad number, but a huge jump was required as the budget of the movie is quite high. However, if during the evening and night shows there are more footfalls in theatres, then we can expect the collection to be around Rs. 30 crore. So, let’s wait and watch.

Housefull 5 is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 240 crore, which is surely quite high. So, the movie needs to collect at least around Rs. 100 crore at the box office during its first weekend, to ensure that it can have a better collection on weekdays.

Well, Housefull 5 has received mostly negative reviews. The Free Press Journal’s reviewer gave the film 2.5 stars and wrote, “Housefull 5 would have been a fantastic film if the second half was as hilarious as the first half. But with an amazing first half and a dull second half, this one just turns out to be an average watch.”
