Haryana Model Sheetal's Body Recovered Near Canal In Sonipat With Throat Slit

Haryana-based model Sheetal, aka Simmi Chaudhary, was brutally murdered by an unknown assailant in the Kharkhoda area of Sonipat, Haryana.

Sheetal’s body, with her throat slit, was dumped in a canal in Sonipat and later recovered by the police.

Sheetal’s sister Neha had earlier filed a missing complaint at the Matlauda police station in Panipat.

In her complaint, she stated that 23-year-old Sheetal had gone to Ahar village on 14 June for a music video shoot but did not return home.

After taking possession of the body on Sunday, the police sent it for a post-mortem at a civil hospital.

Authorities are investigating the motive behind the murder, and efforts are being made to identify the suspect.

In an unrelated case, the murder of social media influencer Kamal Kaur came to light last week after her body was discovered in a car in the parking area of Adesh Medical University.

Locals alerted the police after a foul odour began emanating from the vehicle. A decomposing body was found in the back of the car, which had Ludhiana license plates. Initially, the body was impossible to identify.

Authorities reported that Kaur had left her home on June 9, telling her family she was travelling to Bathinda for a promotional event. Her family had not heard from her since her departure.
