Days after the Delhi High Court restrained the unauthorised streaming of 'Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva', which was released in theatres today, the film has been made available for viewing by rogue websites.
According to reports, the film directed by Ayan Mukerji was made available within hours of its release on sites like Tamilrockers, Movierulz, Filmyzilla, 123movies, Telegram, and torrent in HD quality.
Earlier this week, the Delhi High Court restrained as many as 18 websites from illegally streaming the film after allowing a suit moved by Star India in relation to copyright infringement.
It was also directed to the Department of Telecommunications and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, to issue necessary notifications calling upon various Internet Service Providers to block access to the websites of the rogue websites.
'Brahmastra Part -1: Shiva' has a runtime of 166 minutes, nearly 3 hours. It also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and south actor Nagarjuna in the lead roles. Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo in the film, which is said to be made on a budget of Rs 400 crore.
'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' is set in modern-day India, against the premise of a secret society called the Brahmansh; who generation after generation have protected many divine 'Astras' (weapons) that were created in ancient India, and are safeguarded from the eyes of the world.
The most powerful and the deadliest amongst these divine weapons; the Lord of all the Other Astras - named after the most powerful weapon of the Gods, the Brahmastra, is now waking up. And it threatens to completely destroy the universe we know today.
'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' is a joint production of Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures.
'RRR' director SS Rajamouli has come on board as a presenter for the south region, where the movie will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
'Brahmastra' has been in the making for almost a decade. Ayan had previously shared that he came up with the idea of the film while he was still working on ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’. The film's shoot started almost five years ago.
