Rajkumar Hirani shares character poster of Boman Irani from Uunchai

Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani on Thursday unveiled the character poster of actor Boman Irani from the highly anticipated film Uunchai.

He shared the poster on Twitter and wrote, "Feels good as I present to you my friend – Boman Irani as Javed Siddiqui in #SoorajBarjatya’s #Uunchai. Can’t wait to see @bomanirani in this film. Relive and celebrate the beauty of friendship with @rajshri and @uunchaithemovie on 11.11.22. #Rajshri."

Playing Boman Irani’s wife in the film, Neena Gupta is introduced as Shabina from 'Uunchai'. Her character poster stands out from the rest of the character posters released by the makers, as this is the first one where the character is not seen in snow gear.

Her poster is divided in two halves, where one half shows her near a wardrobe full of everyday clothes, she seems to be in middle of household chores. The other half shows a carefree smile with a mild twinkle in her eyes, as her character celebrates the constitution of family with her exclusive tagline – Family Was Her Only Motivation.

On Wednesday, Anil Kapoor shared the character poster of his dear friend Anupam Kher.

Friendship is the central theme of the film and its campaign. While Dharmendra wished his dear friend Amitabh Bachchan ahead of unveiling his character poster, Anil Kapoor also took forward the baton, by sharing the exclusive character poster of his longtime friend.

In the poster, Anupam Kher once again shows that he is the king of versatility. The poster has been split in two halves showcasing Anupam Kher in two completely different worlds.

On one side we see Anupam Kher in the humble surroundings of his book shop. On the other side, we see him in a different light amid snowcapped mountains, covered in multiple layers of warm clothing with eyes that have a sense of longing and achievement both.

In Rajshri’s landmark 75th year, Anupam Kher is a pivotal part of their most ambitious project yet – Uunchai.

Anupam Kher started his career with Rajshri Productions 38 years back and he is the only male actor that won a Best Actor award for the iconic production house. Anupam Kher has often called Rajshri his home. This is his and director Sooraj Barjatya’s fourth collaboration together.

Uunchai is being anticipated to be one of the biggest ensemble films of the year. Headlined by Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika, Neena Gupta and Parineeti Chopra, Uunchai also promises solid performances by Danny Denzongpa and Nafisa Ali Sodhi.

Produced by Rajshri Productions, in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media, the film is helmed by Sooraj Barjatya. Uunchai is slated to release worldwide on November 11.
