'Absolute Nonsense': Tara Sutaria Will NOT Star Opposite Kartik Aaryan In Aashiqui 3, Clarifies Mukesh Bhatt
While Kartik Aaryan's name has been officially announced for Aashiqui 3, the female lead has not been revealed by the makers yet

Bollywood producer Mukesh Bhatt has rubbished reports of actress Tara Sutaria playing the lead role opposite Kartik Aaryan in highly-anticipated Aashiqui 3. A couple of days back, Kartik and Tara were spotted together outside a restaurant in Mumbai and their outing raised eyebrows. Soon after their visuals surfaced, netizens wondered if their appearance is a publicity stunt for Aashiqui 3.
While Kartik's name has been officially announced for Aashiqui 3, the female lead has not been revealed by the makers yet. However, several reports have been doing the rounds that Tara has signed the film and will essay the lead role.
However, Mukesh Bhatt has denied the news and called it 'absolute nonsense'. He also said that 'Tara is not even in consideration' for the role.
"It is absolute nonsense. There's not even an iota of truth in this. She is not even in consideration. Shall I tell you the truth? No girl will be considered for the role before my music is ready. The songs were the stars of the first and second Aashiqui. This franchise doesn't need a star. We are glad to have a star this time (Kartik). But the rest is entirely up to the music," he told Times Now.
Tara has not reacted to the reports yet. Directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Aashiqui 3 is stirring a lot of anticipation among fans.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tara will next be seen in Apurva. The film is all set to release on an OTT platform on November 14. It is Tara's first film as a solo lead. She will also star in the official music video of Prateek Kuhad, Mulaqat.
