Viral Video: Teachers Dance While Students Clean Floors At Meerut Govt School

Student Viral Video: A video from a government school in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, showed a disheartening scene, where a group of teachers dancing to 90's songs while students clean the floor, wash the carpets, and clean drapes. This horrifying viral video was shared by a journalist named Gangesh on X and gained 240 views.

In the caption he wrote, "#मेरठ Madam's dance.. #स्कूल Teachers are dancing.. #कृष्णपुरी Case of making children sweep, wash carpets and curtains in a government school..video viral on social media."

At the start of the video, a teacher is shown performing alone. Soon thereafter, it changes to a different scene in which a group of teachers is shown dancing to Dhol Jageero Da alongside students. It portrays a pupil cleaning rather than taking classes while the lecturers offer directions. The video sparks worries among many people regarding the quality of education given to kids at the Krishnapuri Government School in Meerut.

Another incident

This is not the first time video of a teacher neglecting education. In the video, a teacher is seen dozing during class, while students are sitting in the classroom. The viral video, purportedly shot by a student, drew widespread outrage on social media. Many people criticised the teacher's behaviour, calling her unprofessional for interfering with kids' education. Several people were worried about her health or weariness.

Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Asha Chaudhary clarified the situation, stating that an investigation has been begun against the teacher in the video.

One user wrote, "For this, she takes a handful of notes from the government every month!" Another user said, "This is the only reason why parents are not enrolling their children in government schools and teachers are not being recruited in government schools. When there are no children in the schools, how will teachers be recruited? Look at the condition of those who have been recruited."
