The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the deadline for first-round DCET 2026 seat allottees to complete choice filling, fee payment and confirmation slip download until tomorrow, August 24. Candidates can report to their allotted colleges until August 25.

KCET DCET 2026: The deadline for candidates allotted seats in the first round of DCET 2026 counselling is set to close tomorrow, August 24, 2026. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has earlier extended the deadline for choice entry, fee payment and confirmation slip download.
Candidates seeking admission to the second year/third semester of engineering courses through lateral entry must complete the required formalities within the deadlines. KEA has clarified that no further extension will be given.
KCET DCET 2026: Important Dates
Choice entry: Till August 24, 2026, up to 1:00 PM
Challan download and fee payment for Choice 1 and Choice 2: Till August 24, 2026, up to 2:00 PM
Confirmation slip download: Till August 24, 2026, up to 6:00 PM
Joining/reporting at allotted college: Till August 25, 2026, up to 5:30 PM
KCET DCET 2026 Choice Entry: What Candidates Need To Do
Candidates allotted seats in the first round should log in to the KEA admission portal and complete their choice entry before the 1:00 PM deadline tomorrow.
Those selecting Choice 1 or Choice 2 must download the prescribed challan and pay the required fee by 2:00 PM on August 24. After completing the payment and admission formalities, candidates must download the confirmation slip by 6:00 PM.
Candidates should keep a copy of the confirmation slip safely for future reference.
KEA Issues Final Warning
KEA has specifically stated that the August 24 and August 25 deadlines will not be extended further. Candidates are therefore advised to complete the choice entry and fee payment well before the deadline to avoid losing their allotted seats.
The extended window is applicable specifically to candidates who received a seat in the first-round DCET 2026 allotment.
