Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Body of a youth aged around 25 years with his throat slashed was found on the bridge on Bacchedi River under Bhangwa police station on Sunday morning at around 7 am.
Locals spotted the body and called police. Senior police officials reached the spot and conducted investigation. Police officials said the body had been identified as that of Rahul Singh Bundela of Pura Patti.
Rahul’s father Bhupendra Singh told police that his son left home on Saturday evening but did not return home. The family received information that his body was lying in a pool of blood on the bridge the next morning.
Badamalhara SDOP Rohit Singh said deep injury marks inflicted with some sharp edged weapon were found on the youth’s throat, which caused his death.
Forensic team has collected samples of blood and other clues from the crime scene. Statements of the family members were being recorded following which further investigations will be carried out. The family has yet not named anyone in this connection, he added.
Meanwhile, enraged over incident, Rahul’s family members and locals staged a road blockade on Badamlahara-Ghuwara Road, demanding arrest of the accused involved in the murder.
