Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to the welfare of women, farmers, youth and the poor at an event in Sidhi on Thursday.
Yadav also transferred ₹1,551.89 crore to the accounts of 1.27 crore women beneficiaries under the scheme.
Yadav laid stress on India’s tradition of honoring women, inspired by the values of Lord Shri Ram. He said benefits worth ₹28,000 crore had been given to Ladli Behnas.
He compared women with Goddess Lakshmi, saying the state government was committed to the welfare of the poor, the farmers, the youth and the women. By transferring ₹1,250 every month to their accounts, the state celebrates Raksha Bandhan with its sisters, he said.
The state feels proud to honour its Ladli Behnas, who have collectively received benefits of over ₹28,000 crore.
India is the only country where the land is worshipped as mother, Yadav said. He also laid the foundation of various development projects in Sidhi.
Yadav said that there would be no compromise on the development of the Rewa-Sidhi region. He also said the government had also transferred funds to farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the CM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
In Rewa, Yadav inaugurated the Birsa Munda community building, six-lane over bridge and other projects.
