Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said Singrauli is far from Bhopal, but the place is close to his heart. Yadav said his government would spare no effort to develop Singrauli.
He made the statement during the inauguration of the Women Empowerment and Adiwasi Gaurav Sammelan in Singrauli on Friday. The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation of 54 projects worth ₹503 crore.
He said that 9,000 SC/ST families had been given forest right pattas and that lakhs of SC/ST families got the benefits from the Dharti Aba Yojna, Janman Yojna, and Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.

Singrauli, with the thickest layer of coal in the country, is the energy capital of the state, he said. A four-lane road will be built in Bargawa-Mada Baya and Parsona, Yadav said. An office of SDM and a 100-bed hospital will be constructed, he said.
In Mada, a primary health centre and a community health centre will be constructed, the Chief Minister said. The contract of the agency that showed negligence in constructing the Sidhi-Singrauli National Highway has been cancelled, he said.
A new agency has been hired and a tender has been floated, he said, adding that the work will go on the fast track.
