Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The investigation into the murder of 16-year-old Rehan revealed disturbing details, with police finding that the suspects allegedly kept a body part of the victim in their car for two days after the killing.

Shyamla Hills police also took suspect Amir, who is currently on remand, to his house on Friday to search for clothes allegedly worn during the crime.

CCTV footage showed him wearing a white cap. Police recovered the cap during the search and have included it in the investigation, said officials.

According to police, the suspects, including Amir, alleged mastermind Zoheb and three minors, reportedly remained in contact with an Iranian woman and an Iranian man for four days after the murder.

The suspects were allegedly trying to sell the body part in the hope of earning Rs 1.20 crore. They reportedly kept it in the car for the first two days and later stored it in a freezer.

On the fourth day, the suspects allegedly took it to the residence of the Iranian woman, but she refused to accept it. The suspects then wrapped it in a polythene bag and allegedly dumped it in a pond.

Police are now investigating the Iranian woman and man and examining their communication and financial transactions with the suspects.

Car sold for Rs 23,000

On the fifth day, Amir and Zoheb allegedly took the Alto car to a scrap dealer and sold it for Rs 23,000. The dealer reportedly transferred Rs 12,000 to Zoheb's bank account and paid the remaining amount in cash.

Police are questioning the scrap dealer and examining the bank transactions. The car has reportedly been dismantled at the scrapyard.

Police question people linked to case

ACP Kotwali Santosh Patel said the two main accused are being questioned in detail during remand.

Police are also questioning people who have emerged as suspects during the investigation and examining bank accounts, financial transactions and the role of everyone allegedly linked to the group.
