Railway Board Clears ₹16,403 Crore Nagda-Mathura Project In Alot
Senior divisional commercial manager Saurabh Jain said the additional lines would increase passenger and freight capacity, improve punctuality and facilitate new trains. The project includes advanced signalling and the Kavach train protection system. It proposes 11 important bridges, 131 major bridges, 1,118 minor bridges, nine railway overbridges and 360 railway underbridges.

Alot (Madhya Pradesh): The Railway Board has approved Rs 16,403 crore for laying third and fourth railway lines on the 567.86-km Nagda-Mathura section of the Delhi-Mumbai route, increasing capacity and allowing four trains to operate simultaneously.
The project, covering Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, requires 1,833.40 hectares, including 1,076.3 hectares to be acquired. Clearance for 254.32 hectares of forest land is underway.
The Kota division of West Central Railway will execute the project, which is expected to be completed within five years. The new tracks will allow trains to operate at speeds of up to 160 kmph, against the existing maximum of 130 kmph.

The line will serve major stations including Mathura Junction, Bharatpur Junction, Bayana Junction, Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, Ramganj Mandi, Bhawani Mandi, Shamgarh and Suwasra. Two new stations at Bargaon and Rojdi are proposed, while Nagda will get a satellite station.
