MP Shocker! Brother Rapes Minor, Flees; Victim Pregnant

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old boy allegedly raped his sister. The incident came to light after the 15-year-old girl got pregnant and Habibganj police reached the victim’s house after receiving information from the hospital.

A case was registered against the accused on the complaint of his father on Wednesday, police said.

According to Habibganj police station Sanjeev Choukse, the family hails from Nepal and lives in Bhopal. The victim’s parents run an eatery and usually remain out of house for long hours.

Two days ago, the girl’s parents took her to the hospital after she started vomiting and complained of stomach ache. They were shocked when the doctors confirmed her pregnancy.

The parents returned home where the victim informed them that her brother raped her in March. Meanwhile, police received information from the hospital and traced the victim’s house. During the counselling, the victim told police that her brother used to threaten her in the absence of parents and raped her multiple times in last six months.

The parents of the accused said he was not at home for a month. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest him, Choukse added.
