Man Accused Of Murdering Constable’s Brother Shot On Leg In Police Chase In MP’s Gwalior; Master Mind Absconding
According to police, Gaurav Tomar and his associates had allegedly shot dead property dealer Ramroop Tomar late last night in the Laxmipuram area. Ramroop was the brother of a police constable.

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A man accused of killing a police constable’s brother on Thursday night was injured in a brief encounter with police early on Friday morning and has been arrested.
The encounter took place around 5 am near Shankarpur Cricket Stadium, where the accused, Gaurav Tomar, was shot in the leg by police during an exchange of fire. He was immediately taken into custody and admitted to the trauma center for treatment.
According to police, Gaurav Tomar and his associates had allegedly shot dead property dealer Ramroop Tomar late last night in the Laxmipuram area. Ramroop was the brother of a police constable. Soon after the murder, police launched a search and managed to trace the suspects.
Prime accused absconding
During the early morning encounter, Gaurav Tomar was injured, and two of his accomplices were arrested based on his information. One of the main accused, Himesh Sharma, managed to escape and is currently being searched for.
Gaurav Tomar is a known criminal and works as a recovery agent. He has multiple serious cases registered against him, including murder and attempted murder, registered in Morena, Gwalior, and Delhi. In Delhi, he is also facing charges under the Arms Act.
Gwalior SP confirmed that the accused is a habitual offender and the police are continuing their investigation to capture the remaining suspect.
