Pandhana (Madhya Pradesh): Class 11 students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV)s, Pandhana, visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) to learn about higher education, technology and career opportunities. Ten girl students who had migrated from Karnataka to Pandhana also participated.

Assistant Registrar Rajiv Pandey, a former Navodaya student, briefed them about admission opportunities, courses, competitive examination preparation and career options.

Students toured physics, chemistry, biology and biotechnology laboratories and observed experiments, including diffraction by grating.

At the Makers Space, they saw models and projects developed by IIT students and learnt about practical learning, innovation and technical skills.

They also visited the institute’s library and learnt about its resources and book-issuing system. A short film on IIT’s academic and institutional life was screened at the renovated auditorium.

The students later toured the sports complex, including basketball courts, table tennis and badminton facilities, running track and stadium.

Nitin Srivastava guided the tour, while teachers Narendra Kumar Srivastava and Anshu Singh accompanied the students. The educational visit was organised under Principal Sittin Nagaria’s leadership and gave students exposure to academic, scientific, technological, innovation and sports facilities.
