Chhatarpur: UP man attending a wedding in MP gets kidnapped

Baijnath alleges that the Naugaon police have neither registered a missing person complaint nor efforts have been made to trace his missing nephew. The whole family is worried about the missing youth.

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A native of Uttar Pradesh on Monday reached the office of Superintendent of Police, Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh alleging that his nephew, who came to attend a wedding in Naugaon village here, was kidnapped by some people.

Baijnath alleges that the Naugaon police have neither registered a missing person complaint nor efforts have been made to trace his missing nephew. The whole family is worried about the missing youth.

According to Baijnath Kushwaha, his nephew Ramkumar Kushwaha along with his friend Surendra Kushwaha had come to attend the wedding of his cousin in village Naugaon of Naugaon police station area on July 2.

On the same day at around 11.30 pm, Ravi's son Asharam, took Ramkumar with him to a place where Chandrabhan, Mahesh, Puran and Laxman Kushwaha were present. Ramkumar was accompanied by his friend Surendra.

The accused were trying to take them somewhere while abusing and beating Ramkumar and Surendra, but Ramkumar's friend Surendra somehow escaped from there but the accused kidnapped Ramkumar and took him along with them.

Surendra informed the family members of Ramkumar about the entire incident, after which Baijnath's brother-in-law Raghu Nandan Kushwaha reached Naugaon police station to file a report.

Baijnath alleges that the Naugaon police station has not filed a report as told by him nor has made any effort to trace the missing Ramkumar. The entire family is worried as the accused threatened to kill Ramkumar while on his way. By applying to the SP, Baijnath has demanded a search for the missing nephew and action against the accused.
