In a noteworthy incident, a man from Tamil Nadu rode back on a stolen bike and returned it to its owner, Veeramani, along with an apology note and cash. The unidentified thief mentioned in his letter that circumstances made him take Veeramani's two-wheeler without permission. He stated an emergency made him pull out the bike from the parking and ride it to his destination.
Bike parked in front of his house days after theft
Earlier, as the bike went missing, the owner registered a case at the nearby police station. Days later, Veeramani found his bike right in front of his residence. When he wondered how his back went missing but was returned soon, he came across the thief's note.
According to reports, on February 24, the owner reunited with his bike, which the thief man returned along with an apology note and Rs 1,500 as compensation.
Thief travels 450 km to return two-wheeler
It was learned that the man travelled 450 kilometers to hand over the stolen vehicle to its owner.
The letter suggested the thief was guilty of his actions, but at the same time, he felt the decision to steal the bike was unavoidable. He claimed he was in an emergency when he was stranded on a four-lane highway and desperately needed a vehicle for his travel.
