Pregnant Woman Delivers Baby During Brussels Airlines Fight From Africa's Dakar; Photo Of Newborn 'Fanta' Goes Viral

A routine flight from Dakar to Brussels became special after a pregnant woman onboard gave birth to a baby during her air travel. The female passenger identified as Ndeye went into labour mid-flight and delivered her baby with the help of a cabin crew member and two fellow passenger professionals. The story of 'Fanta' coming to this world was described as "magical".
The airline company narrated the incident on LinkedIn and the post has gone viral. It contained a photo of the flight attendant holding the newborn in her arms.
"Holding baby Fanta in her arms as they landed in Dakar is a moment Jennifer will never forget. Stories like these remind us that being cabin crew is about more than just flying- it's about caring for people in any situation", the post read.

It was learned the crew guided Ndeye with breathing exercises and comforted her. Two passengers carrying a medical background (a doctor and a nurse) assisted the flight attendant in the delivery of the pregnant lady. They transformed the cabin into a makeshift delivery ward.
