Jeju Air Crash: Pet Dog Attends Memorial Of 80-Year-Old Owner And 8 Other Family Members In South Korea

A pet dog named Pudding was on the South Korea-bound flight that crashed claiming 179 lives. Identified as Pudding, the doggo was reportedly left behind in the village when its 80-year-old passenger and his eight other family members took the flight. When Pudding's family was returning from their Thailand trip, their Jeju Air flight crashed and ran into flames at Muan International Airport.
Pudding became an orphan after losing all of its family members in the plane crash. It was seen wandering in the village waiting for its dear ones, until being rescued.
Pudding visits memorial altar
On Sunday, the dog was taken to the Seoul City Hall to pay last respects to its deceased family members.
It visited the joint memorial of the Jeju Air crash victims, where it was seen quietly looking at the memorial altar with teary eyes. It was reported that Pudding neither barked nor jumped at the premises, but only observed moments of silence.

Rescued by animal rights group after air crash
Now, after Pudding kept wandering through the village days after the crash, an animal rights group 'Care' has provided shelter to the 80-year-old's pet dog.
In a report by The Korea Times, a Care official was quoted as saying, "Pudding was sitting quietly in the community centre but ran to us joyfully, as if waiting for a family. Seeing the dog wandering alone, we deemed it unsafe and decided to rescue it".
