Meaning of ‘Ee Sala Cup Namdu’
The chant ‘Ee Sala Cup Namdu’ is in Kannada, the official language of Karnataka, where RCB is based. It literally translates to “This year, the cup is ours” in English. Over time, the slogan has become the rallying cry of RCB fans an evolution from the hopeful ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ (“This year, the cup will be ours”) to a declaration of triumph.

Punjab Kings won the toss and chose to bowl first, aiming to put early pressure on RCB’s top order. Their bowlers did a commendable job, restricting Bengaluru to 190/9.
