Opener Sumit Ghadigaonkar featured in two strong partnerships to lead Reserve Bank of India to mammoth 112 run win against Bank of India in an Elite Group match of the 63rd Sir Benegal Rama Rau RBI Bank Shield Cricket Tournament 2025 at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana on Thursday.
Ghadigaonkar hit 95 with the help of twelve boundaries and two sixes to help RBI score 203 for 2 in 20 overs. He was involved in 75-run stand for the first wicket with Sandeep Kunchikar (41) and 128 for the second with G.S.Chiranjeevi (39). Bank of India were restricted to 91 for 5 in 20 overs, while chasing.
In another match, Union Bank defeated Central Bank by five wickets.
