IPL 2025: Sonu Nigam's Instagram Pictures Filled With Hate Comments As RCB Fans Mix Him With Vipraj Nigam After DC Spinner Dismisses Virat Kohli

Renowned Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam's Instagram photo has been flooded with hate comments as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans have mistaken him for Vipraj Nigam, who dismissed Virat Kohli in the IPL 2025 game on Thursday. The leg-spinner dismissed Kohli for 22 to dent the home side massively as it sent the fans into stunned silence.

The dismissal occurred in the 7th over of the innings as the former Royal Challengers' captain played an inside-out shot but didn't get to the pitch of the ball and skewed it to long-off. Mitchell Starc ran in and took a fantastic catch sliding forward, sending Kohli packing for 22.

The 36-year-old was also involved in the unfortunate run-out of Phil Salt, who departed for a breezy 37 off 17 deliveries.

Openers Kohli and Salt went hammer and tongs in the powerplay but the home side slid down to 117/6 from 61/0 in the fifth over of the innings Nevertheless, Tim David provided the late flourish with an unbeaten 37, including hammering 19 runs off the final six balls.

Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel had earlier won the toss and opted to field first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they look to continue their unbeaten run.
