How much will the India earn from the finals of the Women’s World Cup?
India is already guaranteed ₹20 crore for reaching the final. After winning the ICC Women’s World Cup India will now pocket ₹40 crore, while South Africa who finished runners-up will receive ₹20 crore.
Record Prize Purse and Equal Pay Milestone
The 2025 edition has shattered records off the field as well, featuring a total prize pool of ₹116 crore nearly triple that of 2022’s ₹29 crore. This tournament also marks the first time in history that the ICC has introduced equal prize money for both men's and women's World Cups, fulfilling its long-standing commitment to pay parity.

India rose to the occasion in the high-stakes Women’s World Cup 2025 final, displaying composure and determination to post an imposing 298 for 7 before defending the total against South Africa at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Batting first, India got off to a strong start through Shafali Verma, whose dazzling 87 set the tone for the innings. Her fearless stroke play thrilled the packed stands and put South Africa on the back foot early. Deepti Sharma anchored the middle order with a steady 58, ensuring India built on their platform and maintained momentum through the middle overs. For South Africa, Ayabonga Khaka was the standout bowler, finishing with figures of 3 for 58 in a valiant effort to stem the flow of runs.
Chasing 299, South Africa battled hard but struggled to keep up with the rising required rate. Despite spirited resistance from their top order, India’s bowlers maintained discipline and control, never allowing the game to slip. Regular wickets and tight spells under pressure sealed the result, as South Africa eventually fell short, handing India a historic World Cup triumph.
