Football sensation Lionel Messi has opened up about his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for Inter Miami, citing the challenging times he faced during his two-year stint in Paris as a major factor in his move.
In an interview with Apple Music, Messi revealed that he struggled to adapt to life at PSG after leaving FC Barcelona, where he spent 21 years. Despite winning two Ligue 1 titles and the 2022 French Super Cup, Messi's time at PSG was marked by difficulties on and off the pitch.
"Signing for Inter (Miami) was an opportunity because of the way things went in my last years in Paris. It was a decision I had to make because I had to leave Barcelona and I spent two years that I didn’t enjoy. I was not happy on a day-to-day basis, with the training sessions, the games, I found it hard to adapt to all that." said Messi.
