PSL endured yet another moment of embarrassment last night. Broadcasters Neroli Meadows and Carlos Brathwaite's post match interview of Azam Khan was interrupted by lashing rain live on TV. The crew quickly had to scramble for umbrellas, with Brathwaite having to share one with Khan as they discussed the keeper's innings during Karachi's victory.
Unlike the IPL where the post match show happens in the studio, PSL had Meadows and Brathwaite at the ground with a set to analyse the game. Meadows was speaking on live TV when rain started to pour down heavily.
"Us in studio, we are about to get really wet. We might need some umbrellas to come on," Meadows cheerfully told the broadcast.
The South African presenter passed a large umbrella to Azam Khan and then pulled one over herself, leaving Brathwaite out in the rain. The West Indian all-rounder then scooted closer to Azam Khan as they discussed his innings on Thursday.
Khan scored a quick-fire 74 off just 34 balls to help the Karachi Kings beat the Rawalpindi Pindiz by 5 wickets in Lahore. The wicket-keeper struck 6 fours and 6 sixes, helping his side to the top of the table with a hat-trick of wins.
