Video: Shots Fired In Broad Daylight In Pune's Bibwewadi, 1 Seriously Injured

In a shocking incident, shots were fired in broad daylight on Monday in Pune's Bibwewadi area, officials said. The incident occurred around 1:30pm at Samvidhan Chowk, the added.

According to the police, two unknown persons on a bike opened fire on Pawan Subhash Gawali, a resident of Bibwewadi. He sustained a gunshot wound to his lower back. Locals immediately informed the police, and Gawali was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital for treatment.

Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Raj Kumar Shinde, DCP (Zone 5) said, "The incident occurred in broad daylight. Two unknown persons on a bike opened fire on Gawli, leading to serious injuries to his lower back. Following the attack, the Bibwewadi police launched an investigation and have identified the two attackers. A search operation is underway to apprehend them. The exact motive behind the shooting remains unclear. as of now."   

This incident has raised serious concerns about the increasing crime rate in Pune. Residents are questioning whether criminals still fear the law, as such violent attacks in public places continue to rise.
