In a distressing incident, a young man attempted to take his own life by jumping into the river from Rajaram Bridge in Pune. The incident was promptly responded to by the city’s fire brigade, who rescued the youth, preventing a tragedy.

The youth was reportedly in a distressed state following academic setbacks. Preliminary information suggests that he, who had recently failed his third attempt at engineering, was overwhelmed by his circumstances, leading him to this drastic step.

Fortunately, the fire brigade responded swiftly and managed to pull him out of the river in time. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for medical and psychological assessment.
