VIDEO: Pune Techie Arrives On Road Roller In Unique Baarat In Kolhapur To Protest Poor Road Conditions

In a unique twist to a traditional wedding, Sanket Joshi, an IT professional from Pune and a member of Prince Club in Kolhapur, arrived for his wedding in Kolhapur riding on a roller and boiler. He married Sonali Nayak in Kolhapur.

This unique Baraat (wedding procession), which went from Mahadvar Road, Binkhambiganesh Temple to Mirajkar Tikti to Khasbagh, attracted the attention of the residents and became a topic of discussion.

The unusual wedding procession, or baarat, was organised to draw attention to the poor condition of roads in Kolhapur. The procession was accompanied by traditional Lezim, Halgi, and Sanai music. The unique sight quickly became a topic of discussion among Kolhapurkars.

The groom and his friends expressed concern over Kolhapur’s crumbling roads, lack of proper development, and insufficient government funding. They also pointed out that poor planning and low-quality development work by officials and public representatives have affected the growth of the city.

Due to limited opportunities in Kolhapur’s IT Park, the groom and many other youths are forced to seek jobs in Pune, Bangalore, and even abroad.
