Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: District Collector Vinay Gowda GC directed officials to expedite soil and water conservation works under the Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan 2.0 and ensure that all pending works are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He instructed officials to immediately address pending tasks and give momentum to various water conservation activities, including stream deepening. He further directed taluka-level agencies to work effectively while maintaining close coordination with one another.
He was speaking at the review meeting of Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan 2.0 held at the District Collector's office on Thursday. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Minnu PM, Deputy Conservator of Forests Suvarna Mane, District Water Conservation Officer Narendra Katke, District Water Conservation Officer (Zilla Parishad) Kapil Bidkar, Senior Geologist Jeevan Bedwal, and district- and taluka-level officials from the Municipal Corporation, Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Department, Forest Department, Rural Water Supply Department, Water Resources Department, Irrigation Department, Groundwater Surveys and Development Agency, Agriculture Department, Revenue Department, Land Records Department, and the Soil and Water Conservation Department participated in the meeting. Officials from various departments also joined via video conferencing.

Gowda directed officials to complete all pending works without delay, with special emphasis on the deepening of streams and drainage channels. He instructed that all works be executed with high quality and completed within the stipulated timeframe to maximise water storage during the upcoming monsoon. He also stressed that all departments should maintain close coordination to ensure the effective implementation of water conservation projects.
