A crime branch team of the Assam Police arrived in Pune on Thursday evening to serve a notice to standup comedian Samay Raina at his residence in connection with a case filed against him for allegedly promoting obscenity on his show 'India's Got Latent'.
In connection with the same case, the Assam Police has summoned YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, asking them to be present in person in connection with the case filed in the northeastern state.
Along with these three, summons have also been issued to standup comedian Jaspreet Singh and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija.

A complaint was filed with the crime branch by a Guwahati resident, and during the inquiry, it was found that the five named in the FIR were present at one episode of the show 'India's Got Latent' and made controversial remarks related to parents, Guwahati Joint Commissioner of Police Ankur Jain said.
The case was registered on Monday against them and others for promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussion in a publicly accessible online show.
Allahbadia has since apologised for the remarks made by him on the show. In a video apology, he called his comment a "lapse in judgement", but the issue has refused to die down.
Raina, meanwhile, put up a post on X (formerly Twitter) and said he had taken down all the videos of 'India's Got Latent' from his YouTube channel.
