A bull lost control and trampled students in a school on the first day of 2025. The incident occurred in Model English High School in the Town Hall area on Wednesday. In all, 14 school students were injured in the attack by the bull. Two students are kept under the observation of the doctors in the Government Medical College and Hospital, while the remaining 12 students have been sent home after first aid.
The incident happened when the students came to the school’s ground during the interval at around 10am. When they were having their food, a deranged bull entered the school campus. The security guard tried to stop the bull, but his attempts failed. The bull ran towards the students who had started running after seeing it. The bull then started throwing the students, lifting them on his horns, one by one.
Moin Shaikh, Shaikh Abdul Rehman Shaikh, Mir Saadat Ali, Faizan Shaikh, Masira Shaikh, Zurain Shaikh, Shaikh Barkat Shaikh Altaf, Shaikh Abdul Rehman, Mohd Uzer Zaheer, Rehal Qureshi, Mirza Mustaquin Baig, Shaikh Zohan, Mohd Zohan Mohd Laik, Kartik Nikalje, Syed Zafar Hussain and others were injured.
The bull then left the school after some time. However, he was wandering on the city roads till late at night. The municipal squad failed to capture the bull. A case has been registered against the owner of the bull with the Begumpura Police Station.
