Mumbai: Carnac Bridge, which is a vital connector in South Mumbai, was rebuilt at a cost of Rs 60 crore. The main construction was completed on June 10, load test conducted on June 15 and NOC from the railways was received on June 24.

So what is the BMC waiting for? The FPJ demands that the bridge be opened to public immediately. Mumbaikars have suffered enough. In 2014, the bridge was shut for heavy traffic following structural safety concerns and it was demolished in November, 2022.
