Thane Crime: Kopari Police Arrest Man With Country-Made Revolver; FIR Registered Under Arms Act
The Kopari Police arrested a man for allegedly possessing a country-made revolver in Thane on June 24. The accused has been identified as Sunny, also known as Khali, a resident of the Kopari area in Thane.

Thane: The Kopari Police arrested a man for allegedly possessing a country-made revolver in Thane on June 24. The accused has been identified as Sunny, also known as Khali, a resident of the Kopari area in Thane.
According to police sources, they received information on June 23 that Khali was in possession of a country-made revolver. Acting on the tip-off, the police rushed to the spot and, upon searching him, recovered the weapon from his possession.
Rajendra Kingare, Police Sub-Inspector at the Kopari Police Station, said, “We brought him to the police station and questioned him about the firearm's license, but he failed to produce one. After verifying the facts, we registered an FIR against him.”

An FIR was lodged under the relevant sections of the Arms Act. The accused was initially produced in court and remanded to police custody for one day. He was later presented in court again, where magistrate’s custody (MCR) was granted.
