Thane Crime: Anti-Human Trafficking Cell Busts Prostitution Racket At Dombivli Lodge, Rescues 3 Women; Agent Arrested
The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of Thane Police has arrested a female agent and rescued three women from a prostitution racket in Dombivli. According to the police, acting on a tip-off, a team of officers raided Hotel Ruchi Lodge located in Sonarpada, Dombivli. During the operation, they rescued three women and arrested one woman agent involved in the flesh trade.

Thane: The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of Thane Police has arrested a female agent and rescued three women from a prostitution racket in Dombivli.
According to the police, acting on a tip-off, a team of officers raided Hotel Ruchi Lodge located in Sonarpada, Dombivli. During the operation, they rescued three women and arrested one woman agent involved in the flesh trade.
An FIR has been registered against the accused under Sections 143(1), 143(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Chetana Chaudhary, Senior Police Inspector with the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, said they received information from local informers on June 30. “Based on the input, we conducted the raid, arrested the agent, and rescued three women,” She said.

The rescued women have been sent to an observation home in Ulhasnagar for rehabilitation. The arrested woman was produced in court and remanded to police custody for further investigation.
